 The Friday night meeting was held at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw.  17 participants enjoyed an excellent meal (lasagna) prepared by guest chef Chris Jewett.  Thanks to Crist Fanning of the church for his help.  Because of Crist, the participants had the opportunity to use real plates, glasses, and silverware, which is something most are not used to at the meetings.  Crist’s wife, Sharon, made some delicious chocolate cakes, which may have resulted in an unnamed directors overindulgence.  An inspirational message was delivered by the churches pastor – Barry Edwards.

 The Saturday tournament took off from the State Park Marina under clear skies.  The temperature climbed to the mid 80’s, same as the water temperature in most places.  There were several large tournaments on the lake, but, in spite of that, the 8 teams managed to find some nice fish.

 Netting their first Ozark Division win was the team of Jimmy Blanton and Darren Peters.  Jimmy and Darren had 4 fish weighing 9.07 pounds to edge out the second place team, Kevin and Bryan Jackson.  Their fish were caught on Brush Hogs fishing flooded Willows on main lake points.  They were using 15 pound P Line in clearer water, catching the fish around 4 foot deep.  The days fishing resulted in the team taking home $795.00 for the win, and first place in the Bonus Bucks.  They enjoy the support of Ardent Reels, Bagley, DDT Lures, Team Diawa, and St. Joe H-P.

 Coming in a close second with 3 keepers weighing 8.59 pounds, anchored by the second Big Bass at 4.20 pounds, was the team of Kevin and Bryan Jackson.  They caught their fish in the Little Tebo area, fishing stained water, flipping shallow wood.  The bait of choice for them was a Plum, 9 ½ inch Ringer worm.  They finished up with a second spot in the Bonus Bucks besides the second Big Bass, netting them $77.00
